The founder's story

How a kid from a family of business owners became the partner he couldn't find — and why Growth Aware exists.

Founder, Growth Aware

Most owners don't fail because they can't run their business. They fail because every new channel, tool, and opportunity lands on their desk — and it all funnels back to one person.

This is the story of how I learned that the hard way, and why I built a company to fix it.

I've been in your seat

I didn't learn this from a textbook or a course. I built and ran a real business — payroll, inventory, customers walking through the door, my name on the line every day. When I tell you I can help you grow it, it's because I've already done it. I know what it feels like to be the person everything depends on, because I was that person.

The marketing side

I spent years in the trenches of social media, content, and ads — growing pages, running campaigns, and learning what actually moves people. I got good at the outside: the posts, the followers, the reach. But the more businesses I worked with, the more I saw the same wall.

Building Active Nutrition

Before Growth Aware, I lived it. I founded and ran Active Nutrition and Supplements — growing it to seven figures in revenue across six store locations and two proshop locations. Much of that growth happened in the middle of COVID, when every rule kept changing and most businesses were just trying to survive. We didn't just survive; we scaled. I built the campaigns, ran the ads, managed the team, and owned the numbers — so when I tell you what works, it's because I ran it myself. In June of 2026, I exited the company successfully.

The wall every owner hits

I know that wall because I hit it myself. The page would grow, the leads would come in, and then… nothing. The follow-up fell through. The process didn't exist. I was still the bottleneck for every single thing — answering every message, closing every sale, running every system. Growth on the outside, chaos on the inside.

Why I built Growth Aware

I looked around for a partner I could send these owners to — someone who'd handle both sides. The agencies only sold marketing. The coaches only sold mindset. The consultants only sold systems. Nobody wanted to do the whole job, and nobody wanted to do the unglamorous middle work where growth actually sticks. So I started Growth Aware to be that partner.

"I started Growth Aware to grow the page and build the system underneath it — so the business can run when you're not in the room. That's the whole point."

After building Active Nutrition and Supplements to seven figures across eight locations and exiting successfully in 2026, Trevor now partners with owners across Texas, Indiana and beyond — wine bars, gyms, expos, real estate services, travel agencies, and community hubs. One partner. Both sides of growth. The unglamorous work, done.
